Leading Celebrity Chef and Restaurant Associates Ambassador Sean Connolly has created a stunning new function menu with matching wines.
Sean Connolly’s passion for cooking was evident the day he enrolled in his Yorkshire school’s home economics class – the only boy to do so. Inspired by his grandmother’s cooking, Connolly started his chef’s apprenticeship at the Pennine Hilton in Leeds, working for free two nights a week at the age of thirteen.
He has since then owned and worked in several leading restaurants including his appointment at Star City’s Astral in 1995. He successfully worked to position the restaurant as one of Sydney’s top fine-dining destinations, being awarded a Chef’s Hat for an impressive five consecutive years.
His latest venture with restaurateur Frazer Short, The Morrison in Sydney’s CBD, is a New York style restaurant and oyster bar and is already a huge success.
Sean works closely with the team at Taronga and is often seen on site at events.
